Crystal is going to be a big sister!

We just found out last week that we are expecting baby number 2! The baby will be due in February and we couldn't be more excited! I sure hope Crystal will handle all of this pretty good. She loves taking care of her baby dolls we hope she will love her baby brother or sister just as much :) I'm sure she will be a big help for Mommy.

Best day of our lives!

We had such a wonderful experience at the temple. It was everything I had been waiting for. The only thing I would change is that Crystal wouldn't have cried the whole time during the sealing. :) She wanted so bad for me to hold her...I felt so bad. Besides that point everything went perfectly and I can't wait to go back! My family is forever! :)

Less than one week away!

The time has finally arrived. On Saturday April 24th our little family will be going to the San Diego Temple to be sealed for time and eternity. I can't even begin to explain how excited I am for this wonderful opportunity! Although we've had our struggles we have finally made it to our goal. Jon has grown so much over the past few years...becoming a father...gettting baptized...receiving the priesthood...getting a calling...and now going to the temple. I can't wait to see them bring our precious little girl into us so she too can be sealed to us. Oh the joys the Gospel brings into our lives!

I love my husband!

Today Jon and I spoke in church. This was Jon's very first experience of speaking in front of an audience. He said he was nervous, but he didn't seem nervous as soon as he started talking. I thought he did a great job. I can't believe how much he has grown over the past year since he has been baptized. March 21st is his one year since he's been baptized. I'm so thankful to have such a wonderful husband. I LOVE YOU JON! :)

Well, once again a few months has passed by and I haven't updated our blog. We moved into our new house in January and a week later we celebrated Crystal's first birthday. I cannot believe how fast she is growing. She has the cutest personality...we are so lucky to have her in our family. We are loving being on our own finally after about a year of having to live with family...don't get us wrong we are very grateful and thankful to have family that were willing to help us out, but there's no feeling like having your own home and being independent. This month is the one year anniversay of Jon's baptism...which means we can finally go to the temple to be sealed for time and eternity. We are both so excited for that very special day when we will get to take our daughter with us and have her sealed to us. It has been a long journey to get to this point, but we have finally made it and couldn't be happier. We are so very thankful to all our family and friends who have helped us reach this point. We are especialy thankful to our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, for helping us along on this journey to our goal.

What a busy year it has been! I can't believe it's already Christmas time again. Well, this year has sure gone by fast, but I have enjoyed every moment of it watching our baby girl grow. Crystal is almost 11 months already! I never knew how strong the bond is between mother and child and now I do. I look at her every day and fall in love with her all over again. I am amazed at how fast she has grown and how much she has learned. She definitely has her mommy and daddy wrapped around her little finger. Even if she gets into something she shouldn't and makes a big mess we can't stay mad for long when she gives us that cute little smile of hers. I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father has blessed us with such a sweet baby girl. I'm excited to be able to experience this Christmas Season with my beautiful daughter and my loving husband.
